 Hidan is rash, loud, crude, disrespectful and most importantly, violent. Not exactly a person you would want to bump into on a dark night. Up close, his personality traits don't exactly get much friendlier. He has a habit of swearing at least once in every other sentence he bitches out. Whether he's whining about the weather, the distance he has to walk, his partner assisting him when unwanted, or for not helping fast enough when he really should have, he comes off as quite irritating to most others. Of course to him, they are always the ones in the way and in the wrong. Being immortal, it's quite easy to see how someone may pick up such selfish and arrogant personality traits. His attitude towards life is similar to a teenager who believes the world cannot kill them. Except in Hidan's case, this is a true fact. Nothing can kill him, and this has given him quite the god complex when it comes to dealing with others in general. He doesn't take the time to stop and think about decisions as much as he should, after all, the consequences could never be dire enough to force him to be more careful. Of course he would never believe himself to actually be god, just a messenger of his one and only Lord Jashin. He lives to serve him, though if you word it in quite that way he may fight you as to how he's actually living his life. Jashin is the one who will save him, release him from this immortality when he's sacrificed enough lives in his name. It's not as if he really wants to be immortal. In fact he often asks people to try and kill him. Usually he's taunting, just fucking with them; giving them a false sense of power before they realize that in his presence they hardly have any at all. However he really does truly want to die at times. Just to feel it and finally be free to live in a world that much closer to Jashin. He often scolds people for not accepting death. Death is a blessing, and did he mention it feels euphoric? Hidan is a full blown sadomasochist. His love for violence doesn't really have a limit, and he enjoys practices such as stabbing himself in the chest with a large pike and watching and feeling the suffering of others as they are sacrificed under his curse. Nothing better than that really. Under the tough front, he still does have his moments. Although he finds fighting to be a game that he knows he will win before it even begins, he still does warn his partner Kakuzu to watch out for attacks and he can be nice, when he needs something. The constant name calling and death threats are only laced with serious intent 98% of the time. Although Hidan often appears to be borderline insane while fighting and laughing hysterically, he is only 22 years old. He shares the denial and immaturity of any other young adult. When he realizes he is about to be buried in a hole for the rest of his very long life, there is a moment of hesitation, a moment in which he is forced to realize that he actually really may be in trouble. When that thought becomes too laced with fear he begins to yell again, almost trying to reassure himself that by trusting in his god everything will be fine. As much as Hidan would like to believe that he is perfect, he isn't. No matter how many times he's told, he won't believe it. His arrogance followed him to the grave and it will continue to live on in him for as long as his brain exists in his decapitated skull. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
